    SEC14L2/L3/L4 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SEC14L2/L3/L4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SEC14L2/L3/L4 (E-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SEC14L2 protein, also known as supernatant protein factor, α-tocopherol-associated protein, or squalene transfer protein, plays a crucial role as a carrier protein that facilitates tocopherol transfer and acts as a transcriptional activator through α-tocopherol interaction. SEC14L2 participates in converting microsomal squalene-2,3-oxide into lanosterol, a key step in cholesterol biosynthesis. High SEC14L2 expression levels are found in liver, brain, intestine, and prostate, highlighting SEC14L2′s importance in various physiological processes. While SEC14L2 primarily localizes in cytoplasm, α-tocopherol presence prompts SEC14L2 translocation to nucleus, indicating a potential regulatory role in gene expression. SEC14L2 activity is significantly influenced by post-translational modifications, particularly phosphorylation by protein kinase A and protein kinase C, which can modulate SEC14L2 function and interactions. SEC14L3 and SEC14L4, which share structural domains with SEC14L2, may also participate in hydrophobic ligand transport, further underscoring functional diversity within SEC14 family proteins.
