SCYL3 Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SCYL3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SCYL3 (G-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SCYL3 protein, also known as Protein-associating with the carboxyl-terminal domain of ezrin, is a 742 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and cytoskeletal organization. SCYL3 belongs to the protein kinase superfamily and features a unique structure that includes an N-terminal myristoylation consensus sequence, a protein kinase domain, two tandemly arrayed HEAT motifs, and a C-terminal ezrin-binding domain. The presence of the myristoylation sequence facilitates SCYL3 localization to the Golgi compartment, thereby influencing interaction with other proteins and cellular processes. Ubiquitously expressed, SCYL3 colocalizes with ezrin, actin, and HCAM in lamellipodia, highlighting involvement in cell motility and morphology. SCYL3 gene, which contains 14 exons and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, is conserved across various species, including chimpanzee, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, fruit fly, and mosquito, and is mapped to human chromosome 1q24.2.
