SCD2 Antibody (H-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SCD2 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SCD2 (H-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Stearoyl-CoA desaturase 2 (SCD2) is a crucial microsomal enzyme involved in the synthesis of oleate and palmitoleate, which are essential monounsaturated fatty acids that contribute to membrane phospholipids, triglycerides, and cholesterol esters. SCD2 function is vital for maintaining cellular lipid homeostasis and membrane fluidity, playing a significant role in triacylglycerol and phospholipid secretion, as well as cellular cholesterol regulation.
