SCCA2 Antibody (10C12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SCCA2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-SCCA2 antibody (10C12) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. SCCA2, a member of the serpin family, plays a crucial role in regulating serine proteases, which are enzymes that can influence processes such as cell migration and tissue remodeling. SCCA2 inhibits neutrophil elastase, a serine protease that, when unregulated, can contribute to tissue damage and inflammation, particularly in cancer metastasis. Aberrant expression of SCCA2 has been associated with various malignancies, including cervical, lung, and head and neck cancers, where SCCA2 serves as a potential biomarker for disease progression. SCCA genes, SCCA1 and SCCA2, are located on human chromosome 18q21.3 and are transcribed from nearly identical genes, with SCCA1 being the predominant form. Understanding SCCA2 function and interactions with other proteins is vital for elucidating SCCA2′s role in cancer biology and developing targeted therapies.
