scc-112 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects scc-112 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-scc-112 antibody (A-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. scc-112 protein, consisting of 1,297 amino acids, plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle, particularly during G2/M phase, where expression is significantly elevated in MDA-MB 435 breast cancer cells. scc-112 protein is predominantly located in the nucleus, which is essential for function in cell cycle regulation and normal cellular proliferation. Notably, scc-112 expression is markedly higher in normal renal tissues compared to corresponding renal tumor tissues, indicating potential role as a tumor suppressor. Downregulation of scc-112 in tumor tissues suggests association with maintenance of normal cell growth and proliferation, making scc-112 protein a valuable marker for studying cancer biology. Additionally, human scc-112 protein is homologous to mouse 9030416H16Rik protein, and scc-112 gene maps to chromosome 4p14, further emphasizing significance in cellular processes and potential implications in cancer research.
