    SEE ALSO...

SAPAP1 Antibody (21) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SAPAP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-SAPAP1 antibody (21) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose and horseradish peroxidase (HRP). SAPAP1 protein plays a crucial role in organizing protein-signaling complexes at neuronal synapses, functioning as a key component of the postsynaptic density. SAPAP1 is part of the postsynaptic density-95 (PSD-95)/SAP90 family of membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) proteins, which serve as multimodular scaffolds that facilitate the assembly of signaling complexes essential for synaptic transmission and plasticity. SAPAP1′s interaction with guanylate kinase-associated protein (GKAP) is particularly significant, as GKAP is localized in the postsynaptic density of glutamatergic synapses, where GKAP helps anchor other signaling molecules, thereby influencing synaptic strength and stability. This interaction underscores SAPAP1′s importance in maintaining the structural integrity and functional efficacy of synapses, which is vital for processes such as learning and memory.
