SAF-B2 Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects SAF-B2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SAF-B2, or scaffold attachment factor B2, is a crucial nuclear matrix-associated protein that plays a significant role in the regulation of gene expression by binding to matrix- or scaffold-associating regions (MARs or SARs) on DNA, thereby influencing the activity of RNA polymerase II and various serine-/arginine-rich RNA processing factors. This interaction is vital for the proper processing and transport of pre-mRNA, which is essential for the synthesis of proteins that regulate numerous cellular functions.
