S-probe Antibody (SBSTAGc) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects S-probe in non-species restricted (NSR) samples through flow cytometry (FCM). S-probe is a crucial component in the study of ribonuclease activity, specifically derived from bovine RNase A, and plays a significant role in the enzymatic cleavage of RNA, which is vital for various cellular processes, including RNA turnover and regulation of gene expression. S-probe consists of two parts: the S-peptide, which is responsible for reactivating the inactive S-protein, and the S-protein itself, which, when combined with the S-peptide, forms an active enzyme capable of cleaving poly(C) substrates. This unique mechanism allows for precise quantification of ribonuclease activity, making S-probe an essential tool in molecular biology research. Anti-S-probe antibody (SBSTAGc) facilitates the detection and analysis of this important protein, enabling researchers to explore functional implications in various biological contexts.
