SEE ALSO...

RuvC Antibody (5G9/3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the RuvC protein of E. coli origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). RuvC (5G9/3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The RuvC protein plays a critical role in the resolution of Holliday junctions through endonucleolytic cleavage, which is essential for the proper completion of homologous recombination and DNA repair processes. This function is particularly important as RuvC ensures genomic stability by facilitating the accurate repair of double-strand breaks, which can arise from various cellular stresses or replication errors. In Escherichia coli, RuvC works in concert with RuvA and RuvB proteins, forming a complex that not only promotes branch migration but also interacts with damaged DNA to facilitate repair. The RuvABC complex is vital for maintaining the integrity of the genetic material, especially at replication forks where double-strand breaks can lead to severe genomic instability if not properly resolved. Anti-RuvC antibody (5G9/3) enables researchers to effectively study the dynamics of DNA repair mechanisms and RuvC′s role in maintaining cellular health in E. coli.
