SEE ALSO...

RUNX2 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RUNX2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RUNX2 (C-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RUNX2, a member of the Runt-related transcription factor family, plays a critical role in skeletal development and mineralization by regulating osteoblast differentiation from mesenchymal stem cells. This transcription factor primarily resides in the nucleus, where RUNX2 binds to specific DNA sequences to activate or repress target genes essential for bone formation and remodeling. Nuclear localization of RUNX2 enables interaction with other transcription factors and co-regulators, orchestrating complex gene expression programs necessary for osteogenesis. RUNX2 dysregulation can lead to various skeletal disorders, including cleidocranial dysplasia syndrome, characterized by skeletal abnormalities such as hypoplastic clavicles and dental anomalies. Understanding RUNX2 nuclear localization and gene regulation roles helps researchers explore therapeutic strategies for enhancing bone formation and treating related disorders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from strong signal antibodiesI received these antibodies as a free of charge trial product. I found that they work great on various cell extracts, including sarcoma and osteosarcoma cell lines as well as MRC5 human fibroblasts. They produce a single band of ~56 kDa. I highly recommend using these antibodies for Western blotting.
