    SEE ALSO...

RT1-B Antibody (HIS 19) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RT1-B protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and flow cytometry (FCM). RT1-B (HIS 19) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RT1-B protein plays a crucial role in immune response as part of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) in rats, which is essential for presenting antigens to T cells. Specifically, RT1-B is a dimeric protein composed of an alpha and beta glycoprotein chain, homologous to I-A and I-E genes found in mouse H-2 complex. This structural configuration is vital for antigen presentation, as RT1-B allows for binding and display of peptide fragments derived from extracellular proteins, thereby facilitating T helper cell activation. Studies of MHC Class II antigens like RT1-B are significant for understanding T helper cell interactions with class II positive antigen-presenting cells, such as dendritic cells, B cells, and macrophages, while RT1-B antibodies also stain stromal cells in thymus, opening new avenues for investigating T helper cell development.
