SEE ALSO...

Rrn3 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rrn3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Rrn3 antibody (D-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rrn3 plays a crucial role in the transcription of ribosomal RNA genes by RNA polymerase I, which is essential for ribosome biogenesis and protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells. Rrn3 ensures proper assembly of ribosomes, which are vital for cellular growth and function. In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Rrn3 is one of the key transcription factors required for rRNA gene transcription, working alongside other factors to facilitate preinitiation complex formation. Rrn3 is functionally conserved across species, with human Rrn3 showing 21% homology to its yeast counterpart, highlighting evolutionary significance. This conservation underscores Rrn3′s importance in maintaining fundamental processes of cellular growth and proliferation across different organisms. Rrn3 is highly expressed in tissues such as lung, retina, thymus, and prostate, indicating potential roles in various physiological processes. Rrn3 may be identical to transcription factor TIF-IA, as both proteins interact with RNA polymerase I and their activities are influenced by growth rates, further emphasizing Rrn3′s critical role in cellular regulation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not work at all in mouse tissueOur lab purchased this antibody to use for western blotting to confirm the knockout of RRN3. The blots all came up with nothing but the IgG1 BP-GRP secondary binding at 50kDa. This was tested with several primary antibody concentrations and high amounts of protein per lane and none amount of troubleshooting fixed the problem.
