SEE ALSO...

RREB1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects RREB1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RREB1 antibody (B-7) is available as the non-conjugated form. RREB1, also known as ras responsive element binding protein 1, FINB, LZ321, or Zep-1, is a 1,687 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes by localizing to nuclear speckles and containing fifteen C2H2-type zinc fingers. RREB1 functions primarily as a transcription factor, binding to the RAS-responsive element (RRE) of target gene promoters to induce their transcription, which is vital for regulating genes involved in cell growth and differentiation. RREB1 is expressed in various tissues, including the pancreas, heart, liver, placenta, lung, kidney, and skeletal muscle, and is involved in Raf/Ras-mediated cell differentiation, particularly by enhancing Calcitonin expression, a hormone essential for maintaining blood calcium levels. RREB1 is important not only for normal cellular differentiation but also for potential implications in Raf/Ras-related tumor formation, making RREB1 significant in cancer research. Additionally, four isoforms of RREB1 exist due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to diverse regulatory roles in different cellular contexts.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515600 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
