SEE ALSO...

RNF38 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects RNF38 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RNF38 antibody (E-7) is available as a non-conjugated format. RNF38, also known as RING finger protein 38, is a 515 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of a RING-type zinc finger motif, which is crucial for function in the ubiquitination pathway of protein degradation. This motif consists of a conserved cysteine-rich domain capable of binding two zinc ions, a feature essential for structural integrity and functional activity. RNF38 plays a significant role in transcriptional regulation and protein degradation, processes vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating various biological pathways. Defects in RNF38 have been linked to several disorders, including acromesomelic dysplasia, arthrogryposis distal multiplex congenita type 1, and autosomal recessive ataxic cerebral palsy, as well as various malignancies. Alternative splicing of RNF38 results in the expression of two isoforms, further underscoring the complexity and significance in cellular functions.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515213 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
