    SEE ALSO...

Ricin A Antibody (RA122) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Ricin A from Ricinus communis by western blotting (WB). Ricin A, also known as the A chain of ricin toxin, plays a critical role in protein synthesis inhibition through RNA N-glycosidase enzymatic activity. This function enables Ricin A to depurinate adenine 4324 in the 28S rRNA of the 60S ribosomal subunit, effectively halting protein biosynthesis and leading to cell death. The ability of Ricin A to disrupt cellular function makes Ricin A a potent toxin, and understanding this mechanism of action is crucial for developing therapeutic strategies against ricin poisoning. Anti-Ricin A antibody (RA122) facilitates research into biochemical pathways affected by this toxin, providing valuable insights into structure and function.
