    SEE ALSO...

Ricin A Antibody (CP23) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Ricin A from Ricinus communis by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ricin A, also known as the A chain of ricin toxin, plays a critical role in protein biosynthesis inhibition through RNA N-glycosidase activity, specifically depurinating adenine 4324 in the 28S rRNA of the 60S ribosomal subunit, leading to disrupted ribosomal function and cell death. Ricin A consists of two distinct domains: a lectin domain facilitating cell surface receptor binding and a catalytic domain exerting toxic effects. This precise domain arrangement enables effective A chain entry into target cells following B chain binding. Ricin A′s protein synthesis inhibition capability makes anti-Ricin A antibody (CP23) an invaluable tool for investigating biochemical pathways affected by this toxin and developing detection assays.
