Ribosomal Protein S7 Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RPS7 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RPS7 antibody (E-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RPS7, also known as Ribosomal Protein S7, is a crucial component of the 40S ribosomal subunit, consisting of 194 amino acids, and plays a vital role in protein synthesis. Located primarily in the cytoplasm, RPS7 is part of the S7e family of ribosomal proteins and is essential for ribosome assembly and function. RPS7 interacts with MDM2 protein, which negatively regulates MDM2-mediated degradation of tumor suppressor protein p53, influencing cellular responses to stress and apoptosis. RPS7 may also be involved in ribosomal stress, linking ribosome biogenesis to critical cellular processes such as cell death and cell cycle arrest. Multiple processed pseudogenes scattered throughout the genome further highlight the complexity and evolutionary significance of RPS7, making RPS7 an important target for research in cellular biology and cancer studies.
