Ribosomal Protein L24 Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 54-78 of Ribosomal Protein L24 (RPL24) of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RPL24 monoclonal antibody (C-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RPL24, also known as 60S ribosomal protein L24 or Ribosomal protein L30, is a crucial component of the ribosome, which is essential for protein synthesis in all living cells. This 157 amino acid protein is part of the ribosomal protein L24e family and plays a significant role in the assembly and stability of ribosomal subunits. RPL24 contributes to the ribosome′s ability to accurately translate messenger RNA into proteins, a process fundamental to cellular function and growth. RPL24 is localized in the cytoplasm, and RPL24 gene is mapped to human chromosome 3q12.3, where RPL24 exists alongside multiple processed pseudogenes scattered throughout the genome.
