Rhotekin 2 Antibody (2C2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the Rhotekin 2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Rhotekin 2 antibody (2C2) is available as a non-conjugated format. Rhotekin 2, also known as PLEKHK1 (Pleckstrin homology domain-containing family K member 1), is a 609 amino acid protein predominantly expressed in bone marrow-derived cells, lymphocytes, and CD4 positive T-cells, suggesting its significant role in lymphopoiesis. The protein contains a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, which is crucial for its interaction with phosphoinositides and other signaling molecules, thereby facilitating intracellular signaling pathways. This interaction is vital for various cellular processes, including cytoskeletal organization and cell migration, which are essential for immune responses and tissue homeostasis. Additionally, Rhotekin 2 is known to interact with several effector proteins, such as rhophilin and protein kinase N, which further underscores its importance in regulating Rho GTPase signaling pathways. The presence of three isoforms of Rhotekin, produced through alternative splicing, adds another layer of complexity to its functional diversity, allowing for specific regulatory roles in different cellular contexts.
