Datasheets
  • RGS9 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ RGS9 antibody, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 449-487 near the C-terminus of RGS9 of mouse origin
  • recommended for detection of RGS9 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including canine
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for RGS9 Antibody (C-8) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with RGS9 Antibody (C-8) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

RGS9 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects RGS9 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RGS9 antibody (C-8) is available as the non-conjugated form. RGS9 plays a crucial role in regulating G protein signaling pathways, particularly in the central nervous system, where RGS9 is involved in modulating neurotransmitter signaling and neuronal excitability. RGS9 is primarily located in the cytosol, where RGS9 forms complexes with Gβ5 subunits, which are essential for function as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP). Cytosolic localization of RGS9 allows for rapid and efficient regulation of Gαo subunits, thereby influencing downstream signaling events vital for proper neuronal function. Dysregulation of RGS9 has been implicated in various neurological disorders, making RGS9 an important target for research into therapeutic interventions. Through modulation of G protein signaling, RGS9 is essential for maintaining the balance of excitatory and inhibitory signals in the brain, highlighting RGS9′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states.
