SEE ALSO...

RGS4 Antibody (H-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects RGS4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RGS4 antibody (H-12) is available as the non-conjugated form. RGS4 plays a crucial role in regulating G protein signaling pathways, which are essential for transmitting signals from various receptors on the cell surface to intracellular targets. This regulation is vital for numerous physiological processes, including neurotransmission, cardiovascular function, and immune responses. RGS4 specifically acts as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for certain G protein alpha subunits, such as Gαi, Gαo, and Gαt, thereby accelerating the hydrolysis of GTP to GDP and promoting the inactivation of these signaling pathways. By modulating G protein activity, RGS4 helps maintain cellular homeostasis and ensures appropriate signal termination, preventing overstimulation that could lead to pathological conditions. RGS4′s interaction with specific Gα isoforms highlights its importance in fine-tuning signal transduction and underscores its potential as a therapeutic target in diseases where G protein signaling is dysregulated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great in WBI got this sample quite while. Several times' WB indicate the antibody works well in muscle myoblasts.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not seem to recognize the main form of RGS4We received a sample of this antibody and it recognized a band around 36 kDa, which is not the predicted molecular weight, nor where another antibody detects RGS4. Furthermore, the intensity of this band did not change with modulation of a negative regulator of RGS4. We did not confirm the authenticity of ~36 kDa band with any type of knockdown, however.
