    SEE ALSO...

Resistin-like α Antibody (R-18) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects resistin-like alpha (RELM-α) of mouse origin by western blotting (WB) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-resistin-like alpha antibody (R-18) is available as a non-conjugated format. RELM-α plays a crucial role in metabolic regulation, particularly in obesity and insulin resistance, making RELM-α an important target for research into diabetes and related metabolic disorders. RELM-α is primarily secreted by adipose tissue and influences inflammatory processes and energy homeostasis. RELM-α′s unique structure, characterized by high cysteine and serine content, allows for disulfide bond formation essential for stability and function. A cysteine repeat motif in RELM-α facilitates interactions with other proteins and signaling pathways involved in metabolic regulation. Understanding RELM-α′s function and interactions can provide valuable insights into mechanisms linking obesity to insulin resistance, highlighting RELM-α′s importance in metabolic disease research.
