    SEE ALSO...

Relaxin 1 Antibody (6F1willi) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Relaxin 1 protein of human origin by flow cytometry (FCM) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Relaxin 1 antibody (6F1willi) is available as a non-conjugated format. Relaxin 1, also known as RLXH1, is a crucial peptide hormone produced by the corpora lutea of the ovary during pregnancy in various mammalian species, including humans. Relaxin 1 plays a vital role in the birthing process by promoting the softening and lengthening of the pubic symphysis and cervix, thereby facilitating childbirth. Relaxin 1 has been shown to inhibit uterine contractions, which may influence the timing of parturition. Structurally, Relaxin 1 consists of two peptide chains, A and B, that are covalently linked by disulfide bonds, similar to the structure of insulin. The two peptides are synthesized from a single-chain precursor polypeptide, with the B chain located at the amino-terminus. The gene encoding human Relaxin 1 is located on chromosome 9, and Relaxin 2, a related protein, is also expressed in the ovary during pregnancy, with its gene mapping to the same chromosome. Relaxin 1′s ability to modulate physiological processes during pregnancy underscores its significance in reproductive biology and potential therapeutic applications.
