Reg II Antibody (Q-18) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects the Reg II protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Reg II antibody (Q-18) is available as the non-conjugated format, providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying this important protein. Reg II (Q-18) antibody recognizes a member of the regeneration (REG) family, which consists of secretory proteins that play crucial roles in the proliferation and differentiation of liver, pancreatic, gastric, and intestinal cells. Reg II (Q-18) monoclonal antibody targets a protein involved in the regulation of cell growth and has been implicated in tumorigenesis and cancer progression. Reg II is primarily expressed in the intestine, with lower levels found in healthy pancreatic tissue, and expression can be significantly upregulated in response to pancreatic inflammation. This upregulation suggests a role for Reg II in the pathophysiology of pancreatic diseases, including pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. Understanding the expression and function of Reg II can provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of these conditions and may aid in the development of therapeutic strategies.
