SEE ALSO...

RBMXL2 Antibody (RR-17) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RBMXL2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RBMXL2 antibody (RR-17) is available as a non-conjugated format. RBMXL2, also known as RNA binding motif protein, X-linked-like 2, plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation during spermatogenesis, particularly in meiotic spermatocytes where RBMXL2 is predominantly expressed. RBMXL2 is localized in the nucleus and contains one RNA recognition motif (RRM), which is essential for RBMXL2′s function as a splicing regulator specific to germ cells. RBMXL2′s ability to interact with pre-mRNA and facilitate processing is vital for mature mRNA production, necessary for proper sperm development. Disruptions in RBMXL2 function can lead to autosomal male infertility, highlighting RBMXL2′s importance in reproductive biology. RBMXL2 is part of a larger family of heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs), which are integral to mRNA transcription, processing, and transport, making RBMXL2 (RR-17) antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying gene regulation and fertility.

Can sc-101134: RBMXL2 (RR-17) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-101134: RBMXL2 (RR-17) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
