RBM4 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RBM4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RBM4 (E-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RBM4 protein, also known as RNA binding motif protein 4, LARK, RBM4A, ZCRB3A, or ZCCHC21, is a 364 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the regulation of alternative splicing during pre-mRNA processing. RBM4 is expressed ubiquitously and is localized in both the nucleus and cytoplasm, where RBM4 contains one CCHC-type zinc finger and two RNA recognition motifs (RRM). The presence of these structural features facilitates RBM4′s interaction with various RNA molecules, thereby influencing gene expression and cellular function. RBM4 interacts with Importin-12, which is essential for nuclear import, highlighting RBM4′s importance in cellular transport mechanisms. RBM4 has been implicated in brain development, as RBM4 is down-regulated in patients with fetal Down syndrome, suggesting a potential role in normal neurodevelopmental processes. Multiple isoforms of RBM4 exist due to alternative splicing, with RBM4B (also known as RBM30) being a closely related protein that similarly regulates alternative splicing.

Are there any issues with using sc-373852: RBM4 (E-3) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-373852 conjugates.
