RBJ Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RBJ protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RBJ (E-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RBJ protein, also known as DNAJC27 (DnaJ homolog subfamily C member 27) or RABJS (Rab and DnaJ domain-containing protein), is a 273 amino acid member of the small GTPase superfamily and the Rab family, characterized by the presence of a J domain. RBJ protein is predominantly expressed in the nervous system and reproductive organs, where RBJ plays a crucial role in protein folding and cellular stress responses, vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and function. Notably, RBJ may lack GTPase activity, suggesting that RBJ′s role may be more focused on chaperoning and stabilizing other proteins rather than directly regulating GTPase cycles. RBJ gene, which exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms, is conserved across several species, including chimpanzees, dogs, cows, mice, rats, chickens, and zebrafish, and is located on human chromosome 2p23.3. This chromosome constitutes approximately 8% of the human genome, containing over 1,400 genes, some of which are linked to various genetic diseases, including lipid metabolic disorders and rare syndromes.
