RbAp46/p48 Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RbAp46/p48 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RbAp46/p48 antibody (G-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RbAp46/p48 plays a crucial role in chromatin remodeling, which is essential for gene expression regulation. Located primarily in the nucleus, RbAp46 and RbAp48 are integral components of the histone deacetylase complex, where RbAp46 and RbAp48 interact with histones and other nuclear proteins to modulate chromatin structure. This interaction is vital because histone acetylation and deacetylation directly influence DNA accessibility to transcription factors, thereby impacting transcriptional activity. RbAp46/p48 binding to acetylated histones allows for regulatory protein recruitment, making RbAp46/p48 a key player in dynamic transcriptional regulation.
