RANK Antibody (64C1385.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects RANK in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). RANK, or receptor activator of NFκB, plays a crucial role in the immune system and bone metabolism by mediating the interaction between osteoclasts and their precursors, which is essential for bone resorption and remodeling. This type I membrane receptor is predominantly expressed on dendritic cells and is involved in the activation of NFκB and JNK signaling pathways, which are vital for various cellular responses, including inflammation and apoptosis. The C-terminus of RANK facilitates the binding of TRAF2, TRAF5, and TRAF6, which are necessary for the downstream signaling that leads to NFκB activation. Additionally, RANK interacts with RANKL, a type II transmembrane protein primarily found in lymphoid tissues and T cell lines, highlighting RANK′s significance in regulating T cell function and osteoclast differentiation. Anti-RANK antibody (64C1385.1) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the complex mechanisms of immune response and bone health, providing insights into potential therapeutic targets for diseases such as osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis.

How can RANK (64C1385.1): sc-59981 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: Germaine
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-59981 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-59981 FITC).
