SEE ALSO...

Ran BP-M Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ran BP-M of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ran BP-M (F-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ran BP-M, also known as Ran-binding protein 9, plays a crucial role in the nucleation of microtubule networks and serves as an adapter protein that links membrane receptors to intracellular signaling pathways. This function facilitates the transport of proteins and RNA through the nuclear pore complex, thereby influencing key cellular processes such as DNA replication and mitosis. Ran BP-M is involved in the activation of androgen and glucocorticoid receptors, which are vital for various hormonal signaling pathways. Phosphorylated serine residues characterize Ran BP-M, which can affect localization and function; for instance, a phosphorylated form can associate with the plasma membrane, highlighting a dynamic role in cellular signaling. Ran BP-M shows highest expression levels in heart, testis, muscle, and placenta, and enzymatic activity has been linked to breast cancer progression and fragile-X mental retardation, underscoring significance in both normal physiology and disease states.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271727 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
