Ran BP-1 Antibody (35) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Ran BP-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Ran BP-1 plays a crucial role in the regulation of the small Ras-related protein Ran, which is essential for various cellular processes, including the transport of proteins and RNA through the nuclear pore complex. By inhibiting the guanine nucleotide exchange factor RCC1, Ran BP-1 indirectly increases the levels of inactive Ran GDP, thereby influencing the balance between active and inactive forms of Ran. This regulation is vital for maintaining proper cellular function, particularly during cell division and the transport of genetic material. The interaction of Ran BP-1 with other proteins, such as Ran GAP1 and Ran BP2, further underscores its importance in the dynamics of nuclear transport and cellular signaling pathways. Anti-Ran BP-1 antibody (35) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of nuclear transport and the role of Ran in cellular processes.

I am using Ran BP-1 (35): sc-136054 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
