RAGE Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect the human Receptor for Advanced Glycation End Products (RAGE) by targeting amino acids 1-300 of the protein. RAGE is a critical type I membrane protein expressed on the surface of endothelial cells, mononuclear phagocytes, and vascular smooth muscle cells, where RAGE functions as a key mediator in the recognition and binding of advanced glycation end products (AGEs), as well as other ligands such as high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) and S100 proteins. The interaction of RAGE with these ligands facilitates the activation of several intracellular signaling pathways, including the NF-κB and MAP kinase pathways, which are essential for regulating inflammatory responses, oxidative stress, and cellular proliferation. Diaphanous-1 (Dia-1) binds to the cytoplasmic domain of RAGE, linking RAGE to the actin cytoskeleton and promoting the activation of downstream signaling cascades. RAGE forms complexes with other cell surface receptors and co-receptors, enhancing signal propagation that contributes to the pathogenesis of chronic diseases such as diabetes, atherosclerosis, and Alzheimer′s disease. anti-RAGE antibody (D-5) is optimized for use in multiple applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), ensuring robust and reliable detection of RAGE across mouse, rat, and human samples. RAGE (D-5) antibody serves as an indispensable tool for researchers investigating the complex interactions between RAGE and its binding partners, elucidating molecular mechanisms underlying RAGE-mediated signaling, and exploring potential therapeutic targets aimed at disrupting harmful RAGE interactions in various pathological conditions.
