Rad54 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rad54 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Rad54 antibody (F-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rad54 plays a crucial role in DNA double-strand break repair, a vital process that prevents cell death, mutations, and potential neoplastic transformations. Specifically, Rad54 is part of the DEAD-like helicase superfamily and binds to double-stranded DNA, inducing topological changes that facilitate homologous DNA pairing and stimulate DNA recombination. This function is particularly important in maintaining genomic stability, as improper repair of DNA breaks can lead to severe cellular consequences, including cancer. Rad54 interacts with other key proteins involved in DNA repair, such as Rad51, which is essential for the homologous recombination repair pathway. The interplay between Rad54 and Rad51 is critical, as Rad51′s interaction with BRCA1 and BRCA2 influences cellular responses to DNA damage, and mutations in these pathways can lead to genomic instability and tumorigenesis. Rad54 (F-11) antibody serves as a valuable tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of DNA repair and the implications of these processes in cancer biology.
