SEE ALSO...

Rad18 Antibody (79B1048) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Rad18 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Rad18 antibody (79B1048) is available as a non-conjugated format. Rad18 (79B1048) antibody recognizes a protein that plays a crucial role in post-replication repair of damaged DNA, which is vital for maintaining genomic stability and preventing mutations that could lead to cancer. Specifically, Rad18 is involved in recruiting ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes within the Rad6 pathway, facilitating modification of proteins essential for DNA repair processes. Rad18 interacts with other key proteins, such as Rad54, to ensure effective repair of chromosomal DNA. This interaction helps fill gaps in daughter strands during replication of damaged DNA, thereby preserving genetic material integrity. Rad18 is predominantly localized in the nucleus, where DNA damage response functions occur.

I am using Rad18 (79B1048): sc-52949 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration.
