Rab11-FIP1 Antibody (3A12H9D2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rab11-FIP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Rab11-FIP1 antibody (3A12H9D2) is available as the non-conjugated format. Rab11-FIP1, also known as Rab-coupling protein (RCP), is a 1283 amino acid effector protein that plays a crucial role in the endosomal recycling process by interacting with Rab GTPases. This interaction is vital for controlling membrane trafficking along the phagocytic pathway and during phagocytosis, processes that are essential for cellular homeostasis and immune response. Rab11-FIP1 is primarily localized to the recycling endosome, cytoplasmic membrane, and phagosome membranes, and is expressed in five isoforms produced by alternative splicing, with isoform two being the most highly expressed in tissues such as the brain, lung, testis, small intestine, spleen, and heart. Notably, isoform two of Rab11-FIP1 forms homooligomers and interacts with several Rab GTPases, including Rab 4A, Rab 11A, Rab 11B, and Rab 25, highlighting its importance in the regulation of intracellular transport mechanisms.
