Rab 5A Antibody (3A4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Rab 5A in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rab 5A plays a crucial role in the early stages of endocytosis and is essential for the fusion of early endosomes, which are vital for cellular uptake of nutrients and signaling molecules. Rab 5A is primarily located on the cytoplasmic side of early endosomes, where Rab 5A regulates the trafficking of vesicles and the sorting of membrane proteins. Proper functioning of Rab 5A is important for maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating communication between the cell surface and intracellular compartments. Dysregulation of Rab 5A has been implicated in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer, highlighting Rab 5A′s significance in both normal physiology and disease pathology.
