Rab 27a Antibody (E12A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rab 27a from mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Rab 27a antibody (E12A-1) comes in a non-conjugated form, offering versatility for different experimental applications. Rab 27a, a member of the Rab family of low molecular weight GTPases, regulates vesicular transport by cycling between an active GTP-bound state that recruits specific effector proteins and an inactive GDP-bound state. Rab 27a (E12A-1) antibody recognizes a protein crucial for processes involving lysosome-related organelles, including melanosome motility in melanocytes and lytic granule release in cytotoxic T lymphocytes. The human Rab27b gene, located on chromosome 18q21.1, encodes a protein involved in pituitary hormone secretion and may compensate for Rab 27a function, demonstrating the interconnected roles of these proteins in cellular dynamics.
