Rab 27a Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Rab 27a in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rab 27a plays a crucial role in regulating vesicular transport, particularly in the movement of lysosome-related organelles, which is vital for processes like melanosome motility in melanocytes and the release of lytic granules in cytotoxic T lymphocytes. The proper functioning of Rab 27a is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and effective immune responses, as mutations in the Rab27a gene can lead to Griscelli syndrome, a rare genetic disorder characterized by hypopigmentation and bleeding disorders due to impaired melanosome transport. This highlights the importance of Rab 27a in both pigmentation and immune function, making Rab 27a a significant target for research in these areas. Anti-Rab 27a antibody (D-4) provides reliable detection and analysis of this critical protein, facilitating studies aimed at understanding its role in health and disease.
