SEE ALSO...

Rab 22A Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Rab 22A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rab 22A (G-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rab 22A protein, also known as MGC16770, is a 194 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in intracellular trafficking, particularly in the transport of newly synthesized proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus and secretory vesicles. This process is vital for maintaining cellular function and homeostasis, as proteins reach their correct destinations within the cell. Rab 22A acts as a lipid anchor at endosomal and cellular membranes, facilitating the binding of early-endosomal antigen 1 (EEA1) and assisting in the trafficking between endosomes and the Golgi apparatus. The gene encoding Rab 22A is located on human chromosome 20q13.32, and proper function is essential for effective endocytosis and biosynthetic protein transport, highlighting importance in cellular communication and metabolism.

I am using Rab 22A (G-7): sc-390726 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Rated 2 out of 5 by from no signal in WB for THP1 cells or HuH7After using the Ab for western blot in THP1 cells and 293 cells, using the standard protocol for Rab proteins in the lab, I was not able to get any signal (before background) from endogenous Rab22. But in general the customer service is really good.
