Datasheets
  • Rab 2 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 1-212 representing full length Rab 2AA of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Rab 2A and Rab 2B of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; may cross-react with other Rab family members
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgG2a BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for Rab 2 Antibody (F-8) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with Rab 2 Antibody (F-8) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

Rab 2 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects Rab 2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rab 2, also known as Ras-related protein Rab-2A or RAB2A, is a crucial member of the small Rab family and the GTPase superfamily, playing a vital role in the transport of newly synthesized proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi complex. This transport process is essential for proper cellular activities, ensuring proteins are correctly modified and sorted for specific roles within the cell. Rab 2′s localization in the cytoplasm and association with vesicular transport mechanisms highlight RAB2A′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating communication between organelles. Anti-Rab 2 antibody (F-8) enables researchers to study protein transport dynamics and explore Rab 2 dysfunction in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer.
