Rab 14 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Rab 14 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rab 14 (D-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rab 14, also known as FBP, is a 215 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in vesicular trafficking and neurotransmitter release, making Rab 14 essential for cellular communication and transport processes. Rab 14 is lipid-anchored to the cytoplasmic side of the cell membrane and is predominantly expressed in the brain, lung, kidney, spleen, and thymus, highlighting Rab 14′s importance in various physiological functions. As a member of the Rab subfamily of small GTPases, Rab 14 is integral to the transport of newly synthesized proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi complex and secretory vesicles, as well as in endocytic pathways, thereby facilitating the movement of carrier vesicles essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and signaling.
