    SEE ALSO...

Pygopus 1 Antibody (3E1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Pygopus 1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Pygopus 1 antibody (3E1) is available as the non-conjugated format. Pygopus 1, also known as PYGO1, is a 419 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation within the nucleus, primarily through involvement in the Wnt signaling pathway. This pathway is essential for various developmental processes and cellular functions, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration. Pygopus 1 interacts with Bcl-9, a co-activator that enhances β-catenin transcriptional activity, thereby influencing target gene expression vital for embryonic development and tissue homeostasis. Pygopus 1 is encoded on human chromosome 15, a region significant for numerous gene encodings and association with various genetic disorders, including Angelman and Prader-Willi syndromes, which arise from deletions or mutations in this chromosomal region. Understanding Pygopus 1 function and interactions is important for elucidating developmental biology roles and potential disease mechanisms.
