PWP2 Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PWP2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PWP2 antibody (H-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PWP2, also known as periodic tryptophan protein 2 or EHOC-17, is a 919 amino acid protein that serves as the human homolog of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae periodic Trp 2 protein. PWP2 is characterized by 14 WD repeats, which are crucial for protein-protein interactions and cellular signaling pathways. PWP2 is primarily localized in the nucleus, where PWP2 plays a significant role in regulating the early G1 phase of the cell cycle, making PWP2 essential for cell viability and proliferation. PWP2 is implicated in various genetic disorders, including progressive myoclonus epilepsy (EPM1), autoimmune polyglandular disease (APECED), and holoprosencephaly-1 (HPE1), highlighting PWP2′s importance in human health. PWP2 gene is located on chromosome 21q22.3, and PWP2′s study is vital for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions.
