PTF1 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects PTF1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PTF1, also known as PTF1A or PTF1-p48, is a crucial pancreas-specific transcription factor that plays a vital role in the development and function of the pancreas. PTF1 is a component of the trimeric pancreas transcription factor 1 complex and is localized in the nucleus, where PTF1 contains a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain. This structural feature enables PTF1 to bind to DNA and regulate the expression of genes essential for the specification of pancreatic cell types, including insulin-producing beta cells.
