SEE ALSO...

PSPH Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PSPH protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PSPH (H-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PSPH protein, also known as phosphoserine phosphatase, plays a crucial role in the biosynthesis of serine, an essential amino acid involved in protein and nucleotide synthesis, as well as cell signaling pathways. This 225 amino acid enzyme is Mg(2+)-dependent and catalyzes the final and irreversible step in converting carbohydrates to serine through the hydrolysis of O-phosphoserine. Notably, PSPH is highly expressed in the embryonic brain, particularly in periventricular neural progenitors, where PSPH is believed to contribute to neural stem cell proliferation. A deficiency in PSPH can lead to significant developmental issues, including pre- and postnatal growth retardation and moderate psychomotor retardation in humans.
