    SEE ALSO...

PSMB11 Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PSMB11 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PSMB11 (H-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PSMB11, also known as Proteasome subunit beta type-11 or BETA5T, is a crucial component of the 26S proteasome, a multi-subunit protease complex responsible for the selective degradation of ubiquitinated proteins, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating various cellular processes. The 26S proteasome consists of a 20S core particle that houses the proteolytic activity and two 19S regulatory particles that facilitate the recognition and unfolding of substrates. The 20S core is composed of 14 subunits arranged in a cylindrical structure, with the outer rings made up of seven alpha subunits and the inner rings containing seven beta subunits, where PSMB11 plays a significant role in the catalytic activity of the proteasome. PSMB11 is particularly important in CD8-positive T-cells, where PSMB11 helps modulate immune responses by reducing chymotrypsin-like activity, thereby influencing the degradation of specific proteins involved in immune signaling.

does this product work with human thymus tissue that is fixed in 4% formalin?

    Asked by: Trant
This primary antibody is recommended and warrantied for IF (immunofluorescent staining of fresh or frozen tissues or cells fixed in methanol or acetone), however we are still gathering data to show on our website. Check back for updates!

I used this ab for IF on cryo sections of thymus tissue. I blocked the slide with 5% donkey serum in 0.2%PBS-T and did primary overnight (100X), following secondary stain for 2 hours, but I couldn't confirm positive staining. Do you have any suggestions?

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515132 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
