SEE ALSO...

PRX V Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PRX V protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PRX V (H-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PRX V protein, also known as peroxiredoxin-5, plays a crucial role in cellular defense against oxidative stress by reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) and maintaining redox homeostasis, which is vital for protecting cells from damage and ensuring proper cellular function. PRX V is localized in mitochondria, where PRX V helps to mitigate oxidative damage that can arise from metabolic processes, thereby contributing to mitochondrial health and function. This localization is particularly important as mitochondria are a major source of ROS, and effective antioxidant mechanisms are essential for preventing cellular injury and apoptosis. PRX V is involved in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation and differentiation, highlighting PRX V′s significance in both normal physiology and disease states. PRX V expression is notably high in tissues such as liver, kidney, heart, and lung, and PRX V dysregulation has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
