Proliferin Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Proliferin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Proliferin (E-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Proliferin belongs to the prolactin family of hormones, secreted by the anterior pituitary gland and playing crucial roles in growth and development. Proliferin regulates cell proliferation and differentiation, making this protein essential for proper embryonic development. Proliferin primarily resides in the placenta and secretes into maternal circulation, providing critical growth signals to both fetal and maternal tissues during mid-gestation. This signaling ensures healthy embryo development by regulating nutrient transfer and supporting fetal growth. Proliferin′s interaction with specific receptors on target cells underscores anti-Proliferin antibody (E-10)′s importance in research focused on reproductive biology and developmental studies.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with Proliferin (E-10): sc-271891 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
