    SEE ALSO...

PRNPIP Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PRNPIP of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PRNPIP (F-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PRNPIP, also known as prion protein-interacting protein, plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of prion diseases, which are lethal neurodegenerative disorders characterized by the misfolding of the prion protein (PrP). Specifically, PRNPIP interacts with the cellular form of PrP, known as PrPc, which is predominantly located in the brain, thyroid, testis, and heart. This interaction is vital as PRNPIP may influence the conversion of PrPc to the disease-associated form, PrPSc, thereby impacting the progression of prion diseases. PRNPIP is composed of 337 amino acids and exists in three isoforms due to alternative splicing, highlighting its complexity and potential regulatory roles in cellular processes. Understanding the function and interactions of PRNPIP is essential for elucidating the mechanisms underlying prion diseases and developing therapeutic strategies.
