PP2Cγ Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PP2C gamma protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PP2C gamma antibody (D-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PP2C gamma protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by acting as a serine/threonine protein phosphatase, which is essential for the regulation of protein phosphorylation and dephosphorylation processes that govern numerous cellular functions such as division, homeostasis, and apoptosis. Specifically, PP2C gamma protein is involved in the dephosphorylation of pre-mRNA splicing factors, a vital step in the formation of the functional spliceosome, which is necessary for proper gene expression and regulation. PP2C gamma protein is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and exhibits widespread expression, with the highest levels found in the testis, skeletal muscle, and heart, highlighting its importance in various physiological processes.
